A、日期表达法
1、日期的表示法英语和美国稍有不同，英国通常表示为“日—月—年”，美国通常表示为“月—日—年”。如“10月10日”可表示为 October 10, 1985(美)或10(th) October, 1985(英)。
注意：最好避免把整个日期都写成数字, 这在英美语中表示的含义并不相同：如“2. 7. 97”、“2-7-97”、“2/7/97”这类表达，在美国英语中表示“1997年2月7日”，而在英国英语中则表示“1997年7月2日”。
2、英语中“年”的读法：四位数以下的年份，按基 的读法读，如“(公元)689年”直接读成 six hundred and eighty-nine；也可以读为：six eighty-nine; 757 A.D读成seven fifty-seven A.D ；
满四位数年份，一般是两位两位地读，即读作“几十几，几十几”，如“1986年”通常读作 nineteen eighty-six; 1982年读作nineteen eighty-two。
3、注意：若是整数百的年份，通常读作“the year—几十几—hundred。如“1900年”读作 the year nineteen hundred；若是整数千的年份，通常读作“the year —几千”，如“2000年”读作two thousand或 the year two thousand。像1800 可读成eighteen 00或eighteen hundred；2000 可读成two thousand或the year two thousand； 2001年则读成two thousand and one，类似地，“2005年”可读作 two thousand and five;2019可读为：two thousand and nineteen 。
January 12th, 1993读成January the twelfth, nineteen ninety-three。
January 26th,2019 读成January the twenty-sixth, two thousand and nineteen
B、钟点表达法
一 最直接的读法：“小时 + 分钟”：
9:10 nine ten
10:30 ten thirty
6:40 six forty
二 巧用介词法：
（1）所表述的时间在30分钟之内，用“分钟 + past/after + 小时”：
9:10 ten past nine（英式） / ten after nine(美式)
10:20 twenty past ten / twenty after ten
6:25 twenty-five past six / twenty-five after six
（2）所表述的时间在30分钟之后，用“（相差的）分钟 + to/before + （下一）小时”：
10:35 twenty-five to eleven（英式 ） / twenty-five before eleven（美式）
9:50 ten to ten / ten before ten
9:49 eleven to ten / eleven before ten
（3） 所表述的时间恰好为半小时，用“half + past + 小时”：
11:30 half past eleven
2:30 half past two
（4） 所表述的分钟和15有关，有三种表达法：
（15分钟又叫一刻钟：a quarter）
8:15 – eight fifteen ; fifteen past eight ; a quarter past eight（英式）/
a quarter after eight(美式)
2:45 – two forty-five ; fifteen to three ; a quarter to three/a quarter before three

现在是十点整。
It’s ten.
It’s ten o’clock.
It’s ten o’clock sharp.
It’s ten o’clock on the dot.
It’s ten o’clock on the nose.
It’s exactly ten o’clock.
三 另外，还有这种情况：
Noon：表示白天的12点 ， midnight：表示夜晚的12点
at noon正午12点，at midnight午夜12点
It’s (twelve) noon. 现在是中午十二点。
It’s (twelve) midnight. 现在是半夜零点。
四 大约时间：
It’s almost two. 马上到两点了。
It’s not quite two. 还不到两点。
It’s just after two. 刚过两点。
五 若想表明是上午，可在时间后加上a.m.
如：thirteen past six a.m.（上午六点十三分）。
若想表明是下午，可在时间后加上p.m.，
如：four o’clock p.m.（下午四点）。
六 提前半小时
half an hour early / thirty minutes early / early by half an hour / half an hour ahead of time /half an hour ahead of schedule.
